August is flying by in a flurry of birthday celebrations, weddings and festival prepping (all of which naturally require new outfits). I also have my eye on the beachwear in the shops as I want to stock up on a few pieces for Australia before all of the summer-y clothes disappear. I’m trying to be disciplined at the moment both with saving money for my trip and trying to lose a little bit of weight so I feel more confident on the beach so I’m not expanding my wardrobe too much at the moment but there are a few things I do have my eye on.
I’ve been running a lot more lately to train for the New Forest Half Marathon and although I have more than enough running clothes, the one thing that I do seem to constantly be waiting to come out of the washing machine is sports bras, so I could really do with stocking up on a couple more, but it does seem that a comfortable and supportive sports bra is particularly hard to come by. I’ve also been lusting after several items of lingerie at Simply Be – I’m a 30F and they stock sizes up to an L cup size (and the underwear is so pretty, not like many of the ranges that come in bigger sizes).
1. Reebok Sports Bra, £22 // 2. Fig Leaves Dolce Vita Bra, £24 // 3. Beach Shirt, £22
4. May Shoe Boots, £28 // 5. Double ring belt, £12 // 6. Adidas Crewneck Sweatshirt, £50
7. AX Paris Stripe Jumpsuit, £48
I’m a big fan of the double-ringed belt (5) – it’s a real dupe for the Gucci belts and a bargain at £12. I have a bit of birthday money to spend and I think that might have to hop into my shopping basket! I also adore those shoe boots – and whilst they’re not at all practical for a festival or for long walks on the beach in Australia I still think I’d get a lot of wear out of them.
