Summer fashion wishlist

It’s been so warm today that all I can think about is swishy summer dresses, cute straw bags, sandals and bikinis.  I thought I’d put together a little wishlist of a few things I’m currently lusting after – mainly for my trip to Lisbon next month (as well as making the most of these hotter temperatures!

I am totally in love with the Dr. Martens whole Spring/Summer range and these Blaire sandals absolutely must be mine.  Whilst my plantar fasciitis is still causing me issues (and let’s not talk about my sprained ankle) I really can’t wear any of the cute flat strappy sandals that are in the shops and I need something a bit more substantial.  Birkenstocks are also my absolute saviour in the summer (even my GP recommended wearing them – you know you’re old when you favour practicality over fashion) and those Docs also look so comfortable (once you’ve got through the pain of wearing them in!) I’ll be wearing lots of midi dresses, denim pencil skirts and chunky sandals this summer.

Everything in Accessorize at the moment is so lovely – I adore the geometric pattern on the crescent bag, and the wooden handles – it will be perfect for my Portugal holiday (it definitely deserves to be paired with a tan and a floaty dress at a rooftop bar).

I love a bardot neckline and find them so flattering, so I’m definitely sold on the Joanna Hope floral bikini.  Even though Lisbon won’t be a beach holiday it’s still an excuse to stock up on bikinis and swimwear (and I’d like to fit in another sunny trip before the end of the year, it’s been a while since I’ve had a holiday which only consisted of reading books by a pool and I’m yearning for a lazy trip!)

Finally, no summer wishlist would be complete before considering some new skincare and body products.  Top of my list is the Pixi Rose Glow Mist – rose oil, argan oil and avocado oil are perfect for creating a natural summer glow (and rose is such a summer-y scent!)

What’s on your summer wishlist?

PS – Let’s all pretend that we didn’t notice that there’s no number 5 in the collage…
