Black and gold

At odds with the fact that most of my recent outfits seem to be captioned with [old] to indicate that it’s something I’ve dragged out from a long time hibernation in my wardrobe, this outfit contains a lot of newbies, and a couple of things I’ve been a very lucky little sausage to have received.

The dress is a recent purchase from Pretty Little Thing.  I hadn’t come across the website before but when I happened upon it last week it was one of those moments where you immediately sneak your debit card out and accept that something is going to get purchased.  This dress is even called the ‘Rosie dress’ so it basically had to be mine (it doesn’t look like it’s in stock any more but they are currently offering next day delivery and 20% off with may20 and there’s lots of other treats on there!)

Black and gold is one of my favourite colour combos.  I have a black and gold waterproof Gio Goi jacket I bought yonks ago and even though it probably isn’t very ‘me’ I just love the way the colours look together.  So when Watchco got in touch a little while ago and very generously offered me a watch from their website I had a bit of a weak moment when I spotted this Diesel watch.  They have some beautiful watches on there and they shipped really quickly from America, I highly recommend their site.  With this one, the Michael Kors one I got for Christmas and my Daniel Wellington one I have amassed a nice little watch collection and it’s nice to be able to revolve them depending on my outfit/mood.  I absolutely love chunky, men’s style watches so this one is right up my street.

dress: pretty little thing £15 [out of stock] | necklace: naive melodies £6.95*
flat shoes: house of harlow at spartoo shoes £232
cross bracelet: naive melodies* | watch: diesel at watchco.com $240*

My necklace and bracelet were also a very generous gift from Louise who runs Naive Melodies.  She kindly sent me a couple of new bits from her shop and I adore them both, particularly the brass chevron necklace which I think is really unique.  I love the way it catches the light so I couldn’t resist taking a couple of photos of it outside on a sunny day this week…

Along with the beautiful jewellery in the package, Louise also popped in a lovely card with a discount for A Rosie Outlook readers to use on her Etsy site.  You can get 25% off with ROSIE25.

I hope you’re having an amazing Bank Holiday weekend.  I was just saying yesterday how funny it is that Bank Holiday weekends seem to roll around exactly when you need them most – I swear everyone seems to be exhausted and burned out at the moment and three days worth of lie ins is exactly what the Doctor ordered.  The theme of my bank holiday weekend seems to be ‘barbecue’ as I had an amazing barbecue at my friend Kate’s house yesterday and today we’re having another at my parents’ house.  Just need the sun to get the memo as he was playing hard to get yesterday and didn’t make much of an appearance, cheeky little sausage!
