A lovestruck Romeo

I was recently sent this gorgeous top from Lovestruck, who seem to be a bit of a blogger favourite at the moment (and for good reason).  I love the contrast colour collar (bit of a mouthful!) and the attention to detail – the lace on the collar is so pretty.  When I find a new website or brand I usually instinctively go to check out their dresses but I’m glad I branched out and chose an item that’s a bit different to what I’d normally go for – I think it will be perfect for layering over other tops and under cosy cardigans for Autumn.

I bought this scarf about five years ago when I was at Reading Festival, I was absolutely freezing at night so I went into town and bought it from the H&M there, it’s so huge my friends joke that it could double up as a rug or a tablecloth but it’s perfect for wrapping up in when it’s cooler! You may notice by the way that my photos are in a slightly different place to where I normally take them (I find myself wondering as I write that sentence, who actually cares?!) – the garden is getting overgrown at the moment but I like all the natural light in the hall, so you may be seeing more of my porthole and wicker heart!

PS – I have been getting a bit addicted to Pugly Pixel’s tutorials again; if you want to find out how I did the ASOS-esque drop shadows around my images you can find the tutorial here.
