Blogger takeover | Five things that make Katie smile

Hello chaps! As you have probably gathered by now, I am currently off on my holibobs and I’m sharing my little space of the internet with some of the finest ladies from blogland whilst I’m gone.  Today’s guest post is from the lovely Katie who blogs over at Sugarpatch.  Katie’s blog is a wonderful mix of recipes, reviews, adventures and photography, all intermingled with her amazing illustrations (she drew that awesome little picture of me with my camera to your right!) and I wholeheartedly encourage you to check it out.  But first, Katie is going to tell you about five things that make her smile.  Over to you Katie….

I often find it’s the little things in my life that make me smile the most. The more you look the more you find, and I think that’s a great way to find happiness! Little things like the way the light shines in from my bathroom window in the morning, the satisfaction I get from framing my own illustrations and the colours I see when I step outside all make my day a little brighter. I think it’s a good way to feel content and grateful with what we’ve been given, as it’s often said ‘It’s the little things in life.’ I found a quote by Abraham Lincoln, and it goes like this:

“Most people are about as happy as they make their minds up to be.”

I  love this quote, I think it’s so true and I find that if I wake up in the morning seeing the little things and smiling at them, my day usually goes pretty well 🙂 Spending my day doing things I love is sure to put a smile on my face too, and that currently involves getting lost in a good book and adding a few more rows to my current crochet project. What makes you smile?
