Homeware wants

I’m definitely lusting after homewares rather than anything else at the moment – my wardrobe is so full to bursting that I can’t fit anything else in without a game of dress Tetris (jamming things in until there’s no space at all!) so I’ve been eyeing up pretty home bits instead – what I really need is a big clearout rather than buying more things, but hey, where’s the fun in that? I definitely need a bright green radio and another nautical cushion, right?

1. bowl, dotcomgiftshop, £7.95 // 2. plate, etsy £16.40 // 3. print, uncommon goods £35.76

4. arrow hanger, rose & grey, £59 // 5. cushion, tesco £10 // 6. radio, john lewis £34.95

7. beverage dispenser, joss and main £28.95 // 8. wall chart, rose & grey £59 // 9. cushion, uncommon goods £42.92

You might notice I’ve included a couple of items on this list from a site called Uncommon Goods.  I came across them recently when I stumbled on their home décor range (on this page) and I really like their business model – focussing on sustainability, paying a living wage and providing health insurance for employees, and working with suppliers to find artists and manufacturers that produce things in an environmentally responsible manner.  They also work with charities like Women for Women International and City Harvests and donate $1 to a non-profit charity of your choice every time you make a purchase (they’ve donated over $700,000 so far, which I think is awesome).  Make sure you check out Uncommon Goods (their handmade gifts are super lovely too and they ship to the UK – just check the flag at the top for the GBP prices).

Have you been eyeing up any homeware pieces lately?
