Trail Blazer

This Hobbs blazer came into my life a few weeks ago and has barely been off my back since.  When it arrived I knew it would fit seamlessly into my workwear wardrobe, especially as I've spent the last two weeks delivering training, meaning I had to find many more 'smart' workwear options than I usually have to! And it does look perfect over shift dresses and shirts and tailored trousers.  But it's also a bit of a winner with a more casual outfit, smartening up a jeans and blouse combo - I can also see myself throwing it on over t-shirts as a light jacket when the weather warms up a little.

At a recent Blogger Meet I went to at Gunwharf Quays we were all extolling the virtues of Hobbs (one lucky blogger works at the Hobbs in Gunwharf - jealous of that staff discount!) They do have some rather swoon-worthy shoes, a couple of pairs in particular that had me deliberating whether I really do need another pair of brogues (I do though, right?)

I picked up this blouse in the ASOS sale, I love the collar detail (which also extends to the sleeves).  It was one of those orders where I promised myself I'd send at least one item back but ended up naughtily keeping it all! ASOS should have a feature where it forces you to return a pre-agreed amount of times, I am so bad at just deciding to keep everything!

I must admit, I rather love that little splash of blue sky in the background of the first picture, even if it is above a street that has clearly been rained on all night.  I know it is all anyone is talking about at the moment (well, that and Game of Thrones), but I am desperate for some nice Spring weather now - I've not been running or cycling on account of it having rained every day for a couple of weeks, and I really need to get my bum off the computer chair and outside, so roll on sunny skies!
