Some new clothes

I feel like I haven't bought many new clothes at all this year, but I must admit that in the last few weeks I have had a little bit of a mini spree!  I think it's because I've begun to get a real feel for the style that I feel most comfortable with, and I've then been hunting around Pinterest for outfits and street style photos that fit with that style, and getting inspiration as to pieces that will fit well in my wardrobe. As I've mentioned before, I buy a lot of dresses but don't seem to wear them as much as other items, so I was keen to get some wardrobe staples that would take me through Spring and into Summer.

New clothes

I went to Westfield Shopping Centre with my friend Nicole a couple of weeks ago and we both had little sprees in H&M and Pull and Bear.  Both shops are so good for both basics and are really reasonably priced and had some great bits in there, so I couldn't help but buy some new things.  I've been wearing the stripey shirt and the ripped pastel green jeans (both from Pull and Bear) together a lot; I've been throwing on a cardigan and trainers but I think that ensemble will equally look good with sunnies and sandals when the warmer weather hits!

The stripey tops have been worn with skinny jeans and also work for the office with pencil and skater skirts. The white Converse were picked up at a blogger clothes swap and will be perfect as an addition to my Spring shoe wardrobe!

The Kenzo tiger jumper was a bit of a treat to myself on my last payday.  It is actually an age 12 kids' jumper from Selfridges and cost £70 rather than the usual £150! I was pretty chuffed when I found that and I'm definitely going to get a kids' t-shirt too to wear with shorts in the summer!  Here's a few more details on the other items:

  1. I'd love a pair of low white converse for spring and summer. What blogger clothes swap was that? And how do I find out if they have events like that in Leeds? :)

    1. It was one in Bournemouth organised by Hannah from Hannah Bee blog. I'd have a look around on Twitter and see if there are any Leeds blogger groups or anyone organising events, if not why not try organising one yourself, they're so much fun! xo

  2. I need to do a Spring/Summer clothes spree - I've dragged out my clothes from last year but they're definitely not as appealing this year (with a few notable exceptions!). I'm wavering over a pair of dungarees - I really like them, but will I be so sure in 6 months time?

  3. I really have spreed a lot recently, and I'm getting to the stage where I'm running out of space so i can't really buy anything else at the moment. I am also thinking that with doing the Me Made May challenge, I'm going to be less interested in buying anything, as I'll just be making outfits using my existing me-made wardrobes, so that will probably help. Then, when I'm finished with the challenge, it will be so long since I've worn any of my bought clothes that maybe they'll all seem like new again?

    1. I definitely have far too many clothes, I've given about six bags to charity in the last couple of months but my wardrobes are still bursting at the seams! Excited to see your Me Made May dresses, I think you're right that you'll probably lose interest in your bought dresses when you have so many more pretty handmade ones! xo

  7. I went to London last week and also went on a mega spree! I'm super into dots and stripes right now. I bought a stripey long top in the river island sale, a polka dot dress (can't remember the shop) and another fancy top from new look, also polka dot. And all in grey/white/black. Now I'm on the hunt for shoes! I ordered lilac jelly shoes for asos, not sure how comfortable they'll be though.
