January Degustabox Food Box Review

I was a huge fan of the first ever Degustabox, which I reviewed last month and excitedly spent the next couple of weeks chomping my way through (okay, I admit, the chocolate, chai latte and biscuits might only have lasted a few days…)  So when they kindly asked if I wanted to receive a few more of their monthly boxes and continue to review them, I jumped at the chance.  Degustabox is a monthly food box with a difference – no letterbox sized package of mini items to trial that make you wonder if you really got your money’s worth, but instead a big, bulging box of full size items – new products before they hit the shelves, cupboard staples, recognisable brands and products you will really use and enjoy.  At a cost of £12.99 (including delivery), you can see immediately that the box offers excellent value for money (the Dorset Cereals granola alone retails at almost £4).

The element of surprise is always one of the most fun things about the monthly subscription boxes, and I love those few moments of suspense as you unpackage it and see what’s inside.

I could immediately see lots of things I would use – the Dorset Cereals will make a lovely breakfast over the next few days, the Jules Destrooper biscuits were destroyed within seconds (ahem) and the tea, sweets and coconut water would be lovely things to try.

I regularly buy quinoa and after spotting Lisette’s quinoa, pomegranate and feta salad, I knew this was one product that would get used up quickly.  It was absolutely delicious and I’ll definitely be buying that brand of quinoa again.
The full list of products is as follows:

GO! Kombucha raw, China white tea

Quinola Mothergrain Express Black and Pearl Quinoa

Dorset Cereals Berry Granola

Goody Good Stuff sweets (tropical fruit and sour mix and match)

Maggi So Juicy and So Tender Recipe Mixes

Jules Destrooper Butter Crisp Biscuits

Zico Chocolate Coconut Water

Yet again, I think this is an amazing box and I’m really excited to continue trying the products and using them in recipes (or a Sunday treat in the case of the sweeties!) You can sign up for Degustabox and get £3 off using code FBHES.
