Next Afternoon Tea #nextmasmoment

On Monday I hopped on a train to London to meet Sarah and go for Afternoon Tea with Next.  I have been waiting for an opportunity to wear my new Missguided swing dress and taking afternoon tea in a beautiful hotel in Mayfair certainly felt like a special occasion!

dress: missguided bethany swing dress, £29.99* // boots: blowfish trick wedge £55*

We met up outside Topshop on Oxford Street and had an amusing moment where I went up the escalator to meet Sarah as she came down the escalator to find me, cue me shouting her name and waving like a mad person! We then had a mooch around Soho and visited a little shop which sold some rather pretty dresses and I snapped one up to be shared in a later post (it has a Peter Pan collar and pin up cowgirls, what’s not to like?) We then headed on to Wahaca as I’d only previously had dessert there and wanted to try their lunch menu.  I had Queso Fundido and a Chorizo Quesadilla, both were very, very yummy!

We then walked to Green Park tube station to meet a whole host of people including Lyzi, Sam and Victoria and headed to Brown’s Hotel for the Next Afternoon Tea.

It was beautifully laid out, with the room decked in gorgeous Next Home Christmas decorations.  We were handed glasses of prosecco and found our placenames – with each chair holding a huge Christmas stocking and a woolly Christmas hat!

The afternoon tea itself was amazing, with mini sandwiches, warm scones and little cakes, macaroons and trifles.

After filling up on delicious food, listening to Christmas tunes and playing pass the parcel they had some activities in store for us! We decorated gingerbread men – mine was an absolute mess and was even worse by the time it got home!

And we decorated baubles, I made two new ones for our tree and got covered in glue and glitter!

It was so much fun and there were lots of very generous treats in our stockings, including a beautiful Christmas candle, some furry gloves and jewellery and another lovely hat.  I will definitely be keeping snug this Christmas thanks to Next!

Thanks to Next for hosting us and all of the lovely ladies that helped make it such a perfect day.
