It is a truth universally acknowledged that the coming of autumn and winter necessitates the hunting for, and subsequent purchase of, the perfect pair of winter boots. Skinny jeans tucked into chelsea boots, dresses worn with thick black tights and ankle boots or knee high boots over leggings – it’s clear the humble boot is a key purchase for this time of year (and perfect for keeping toes toasty now the temperatures have started to drop!)
After doing extensive online window shopping and nosing around all of my favourite haunts I stumbled across Hobbs’ boots collection and did some serious swooning. They really have got my A/W boot-buying covered.
Here’s my wishlist of the Hobbs boots I’m currently coveting. Top of my list are these swoonsome ankle boots – I am all about tan leather this year and I adore the suede detail and buckle. I’ve always been a fan of slightly androgynous boots and shoes and I feel like these would be perfect with some dark denim jeans and a plaid shirt for some casual cool.

I also have rather a soft spot for these heeled boots – the laces remind me of a walking boot and the heel adds that touch of style that make them that little bit smarter. I love the navy leather.

Another boot that I think would be really versatile and a real investment piece is these heeled ankle boots – the brown leather makes them so classic and I love the elastic panel; it makes them feel like chelsea boots but with a stylish twist.

My final favourite is these knee high boots. Knee high boots can sometimes feel quite casual to me but I love how the suede and the zip detail at the back give them that edge and make them feel really classy.
