Chevrons and acid wash

I think I look a little like a gnome or a really tiny person in these photos, I have no idea why.  Maybe it’s the hat, or the fact that Tom towers over me when he takes my photos so it’s a little like a giraffe taking a photo of an ant… or something.  Just a casual weekend outfit today – I wore this (with a jumper) to go shopping in Bournemouth on Saturday.  The Nikes are because my ankle is still bruised from my running injury (yes I’m still banging on about that) so I’m embracing comfy shoes at the moment.  Not that I need an excuse – Nike Air Max’s are awesome, obvs.

I kinda like the beanie, acid wash jeans and trainers look, it feels a little 90s.  I saw loads of girls wearing skinny jeans and Nikes at the weekend, that sort of ‘street’ look seems to be really in at the moment so I’m pleased I’m ticking off a trend as well as supporting that ouchie ankle of mine.

My beanie was a lovely present from ASOS upon getting accepted for their Access All ASOS programme. It came with a lovely note saying I should wear it on my walks with Bodhi which was really thoughtful – means such a lot to get handwritten, thoughtful notes from PR people!

My week has been quite a busy one so far, I went for a lovely drink with a friend on Monday (and shared a charcuterie platter, amazing!), we’ve also viewed a local gym as we’re going to cancel the spa membership as it’s too expensive for what we get – I want to do more classes when my ankle heals and the spa doesn’t offer that.  Today we are viewing our first wedding venue as we’d really like to get a feel for what we want and set a date but we might have to have a longer engagement than we originally planned as we need some time to save enough money to do all of the things on our ‘must have’ list – why are weddings so expensive! I think it will start feeling really real once we have seen the first potential location for our wedding, it hasn’t really all sunk in yet if I’m honest and all feels a bit surreal.

This weekend I am really excited to be going to London on Saturday to meet up with Char and Sarah.  On Sunday we’re going to see Villagers at o2 Academy Oxford as part of my role as an o2 Academy Official Blogger – very exciting!  Hope you’ve all got some lovely weekend bits planned!
