Oooh, new shoes!

Hi, my name is Rosie and I'm a shoe-aholic.  I no longer have room in my house for all of my shoes, and Tom is less than impressed with the piles of shoeboxes dotted around, let alone the fact that shoes are stored in two wardrobes, a shoe-rack and a shoe-cupboard as well as being kicked off under desks and sofas and in piles on the stairs.

Previously I limited my shoe buying to heels, flats and boots, but now trainers have started to creep in too. These days I frequently treat myself to new running shoes and gym shoes, then I fall in love with how comfy they are and start buying trainers that will look good with jeans, or even wedge trainers to toughen up pretty dresses.  You would be forgiven for thinking this is my Nike trainers collection - nope - these are the Nike trainers I've amassed in the last few weeks - oops!

| nike dual fusion run, spartoo £48.99 | nike lady zoom vomero sportsshoes.com £89.99* |
| nike air max chase juniors, sports direct £32.99 | nike dunk sky high, spartoo £68.89 |
| nike free run 3 girls, wiggle, £40

No September shoe-buying spree though would be complete without a foray into the world of A/W footwear.  I wanted some cut-out boots, and I wanted a couple of things that were fleece-lined and would keep my toes warm.  I guess with the trainers thing too I'm starting to lean towards comfortable footwear - these days I wear heels much less often and am seeking increasingly to enscond my feet in something cosy and comfortable.  If you haven't already deducted me major style points already for that practical over beautiful related statement then get ready to discredit me forever.  Yes, I bought some Uggs.

| ugg boots, spartoo £199 | cutout boots, new look £27.99 | boots, keds,

I know they're not exactly plastered all over Lookbook or tramping down catwalks but flippin 'ell are they comfy.  For quick trips to the shops or casual days out at the weekend, I'm afraid sheepskin-warm feet are happening.  I actually think they look cute with a plaid shirt and skinny jeans, so sue me!

| cutout boots, new look, as above | chelsea boots, asos £27.99

Ankle boots are always my shoe du jour in A/W so I've picked up a couple of new pairs of them too, a pair from ASOS and some cutout boots from New Look (same as in the other snap above).  I love the cutout boots, they look awesome with jeans or dresses, I think they're going to get a lot of wear!

What's on your shoe wishlist for A/W?

  1. Ooh those Chelsea boots are lovely! I'm totally with you on the practical and comfy over beautfiul, but you've got a perfect balance! I think Uggs are great for the winter but Im definitely on the hunt for some military style lace up boots that are really sturdy as well as pretty! I think I am a couple of seasons late on that trend but my other pair broke as I wore them so much! xx

  2. I like your painted floorboards Rosie, really nice!! And shoes too, of course! ;)! Those Chelsea boots at the end have my name all over them. I could see them being extra comfy for an early morning winter walk when there are ice-webs on the grass. I can just imagine them with some black skinnys, a warm coat and scarf and a huge flask of soup somewhere with a nice view. Ahhh!

    1. Haha, well I had some credit on Spartoo, an ASOS gift voucher and one pair were a gift so only a couple of pairs were bought with cold hard cash! It's more the finding room for them that's the problem! xo

  4. Hahaha I am not a shoe person AT ALL but I love all of yours! I tend to alternate between black ballet pumps, black ankle boots, and brown ankle boots...!! I love the cut out boots too- but I'm just not sure how I'd wear them with socks or tights- would it look weird, do you think?! xx

    1. I wear them with black tights most of the time, I don't think it looks weird! They would be cool with some glittery socks too I think! :) xo

  8. I've been eyeing up some tan chelsea boots at Topshop, but those you've got from asos are great (and a lot nicer for my student budget!) xx

  9. That's quite a collection of Nikes right there, it seems we share the same love for their running trainers. I'd managed to get 3 pairs this month, my latest being the Flyknits. Only had them for a couple of weeks but I can tell the difference between those and the Free Runs.

  10. I think I'm becoming a bit obsessed with trainers too, particularly Nikes! I'm waiting on my new 5.0's for the gym to be delivered today and I'm so impatient. I love your Dunk Sky High's - they're so comfy aren't they! I only have 1 pair of boots (and err, probably about 15 pairs of shoes in total - definitely not a shoe person!) so I think you might have sold me on those ASOS ones! x

  12. I'm in awe of your new shoes collection; pretty sure than that's more than my entire footwear collection... I love trainers but my wedge hi-top pair are so uncomfortable (thanks Topshop) that I can't wear them for long at all. I'm all about boots for Autunm and love the look of the last two pairs. Don't tempt me! x

  14. I know the feeling, I really do. Though I don't have a trainer "addiction", I'm starting to collect boots. I've already bought myself 5 pair by now and I'm even considering another pair. The ankleboots are really nice! Especially liking those cut out boots! x

  15. Nooooo Rosie, noooooooooooooo. Not Ugg boots! Haha, they're my second most hated type of footwear (Crocs win, obvs) but seeing as it's you, I'll let you off ;-)

    The Chelsea boots are fab!
