RosieTomoPoly

Some weeks ago Best British Bloggers contacted me about a campaign they were running with Gala Bingo to celebrate the new Gala Bingo Monopoly Game.  They were sending out a Make Your Own ‘Opoly game so you can make a Monopoly board of your local area, and then vouchers to visit your favourite local spot.

We picked one of our favourite local restaurants, The Raft in Milford on Sea.  I’ve blogged about it before but it’s definitely worth a second post, the décor is stunning and the food is divine.  We picked a Sunday evening to visit – it was a few weeks ago when we were still working on the conservatory and we decided we needed something to look forward to to get us through the day! If you look closely I’m sure we still have paint on us somewhere!

I never turn down the opportunity to eat hot cheese, so I had baked camembert with garlic and rosemary soldiers for my starter.

Tom had a Prawn Pot with garlic, paprika and chilli.

Like my hot cheese, Tom’s menu weakness is Mussels.  He nevers turns down the opportunity for Moules Frites (this came in a garlic and white wine sauce).

I went for the burger – flame grilled with melted cheese, salad and chips.

We wanted to go for a walk at Milford On Sea after dinner but sadly the weather had other ideas.  The wind started to pick up and it started to drizzle almost as soon as we stepped out of the car.  Also my Schutz peep toe shoes were not really wholly suitable for clambering over rocks.

jeans: topshop [old] | necklace: ebay | shoes: schutz [£42.89]

top: zara [instore, can’t find link] | blazer: missguided [£24.99]

To be honest, after all of that food we were only able to come home and flop on the sofa so we didn’t get a chance to make our own RosieTomOpoly, but I have it ready for the next time we have a quiet evening in, it looks like fun!

What’s your favourite thing to do in your local area? What would be on your Monopoly board?
