Conservatory Project: Zalando special

Last weekend I posted about my beautiful new conservatory, courtesy of a few weeks of hard graft by Tom and I.  I promised to let you know where some of the items were from in case you wanted to snap up a little slice of seaside life for your own home!

Several of the items in our new conservatory come from Zalando‘s really rather special homes section.  Their homes section is a virtual treasure trove of Scandinavian style and cool and contemporary pieces, with lots of bargains to be had.  I must admit to doing an audible ‘squee’ when I happened upon their ‘By the sea‘ section – and you’ll see several of the items I picked up lurking in that link.

Zalando kindly offered me an £80 voucher to pick up some bits a few weeks ago and I had them stored in a box in my study just waiting for the moment the conservatory was ready for ‘dressing’.  For me that’s definitely the best bit; being able to see your vision for a room come to life by adding all the little furnishings and knick knacks.  Luckily they all looked perfect.  The huge single curtain is my favourite, I love to throw the patio doors open and watch it billow in the wind.

Here’s what I snapped up with my voucher.

curtain: £34*

cushion: £12*

| throw: £25 (link points to different colourway)*

| storage boxes £21 [sold out]*

I actually went very over budget, especially as I also bought a rug that sold out and had to be refunded.  I’ve now got my eye on these hurricane lamps, I think they’d look perfect sat atop the sideboard! Personally I hugely urge you to take a little peek at the Zalando home section, they have some amazing brands and I love that everything is so unique – it’s nice to be able to pick up bits you won’t see in lots of other people’s houses.
