Payday spender

I have a naughty habit.  It usually happens on the last weekday of the month and it involves me going through all of the things I’ve bookmarked over the prior weeks (or looking at my bookmarked wishlists) and treating myself to a few things.  Just a few little things to celebrate payday and give myself a shoe/dress/skincare/make-up shaped pat on the back for another month of hard graft.  I can’t be the only person who gets a bit indulgent in those fleeting moments before all the direct-debits come out when you celebrate having a little bit of money?

I thought I’d share with you a few things that the Postman has brought to me in the last few days, mainly due to my payday splurging, but also a couple of other treats here and then from nice people.

The first was kindly sent to be my Cybercandy as I recently joined the Cybercandy Blogger Family.  I picked the Hersheys Reeses Peanut Butter Topping (£3.79) to try as I thought it would be an amazing cupcake icing topper and it turns out, it was! You can see how I used it in my Big Night In post.

I have recently developed a full on trainers addiction and I can’t stop myself ogling shoes on The Drop Date for new additions to my trainers wishlist.  I picked up these Nike Starlets in the Spartoo sale and can’t wait to wear them, I think they’ll go great with denim shorts and turned up skinny jeans.

A few weeks ago I was over the moon to be picked to be a Witch Flawless Friend.  I adore Witch Skincare so to be added to their group of lovely bloggers is a real honour.  Rather generously they sent me out big ol’ stash of their products to try – a few are already favourites but several are new to me so I can’t wait to get trying and reviewing them.

I gave into the hype and invested in a pair of Topshop MOM jeans, however when they arrived I tried them on and they are way too small.  I bought the same size as all the Jamie jeans I have but for some reason they are about 3 inches too small on the waistband! (It’s definitely not all the croissants and cheese!) I’ll now be making a trip to our nearest Topshop tomorrow to exchange them.

Lastly is my little haul of French skincare goodies that came home in my suitcase.  I couldn’t resist a few visits to their chemists whilst I was away in France! I haven’t had a chance to try any yet (apart from the Bioderma Micelle Solution which is already a favourite) but if you’re interested I’ll give them a review on here.

The spending should really stop there but I must admit that whilst I’ve been writing this I’ve been simultaneously searching the web for Micky Flanagan tickets.  Tom and I were gutted to have missed him on a recent tour since his ‘Out Out Tour’ DVD is one of our absolute favourites.  For any other fans, you’ll know what I mean when I say that we frequently do the ‘Cockney Walk’ whilst proclaiming that we are ‘double busy’ (this will help if you have no idea what I’m talking about!).

Are you payday spender? What have you been splurging on this week?
