Just a little snap of what I wore to lunch today. After the first photo was taken we decided we would walk the dog straight from going to lunch, hence the change from shoe boots to my (much more practical) deck shoes! Tom has been in Edinburgh all week so we've planned quite a chilled out weekend - we went for lunch at the
Tattoo Parlour Cafe in Pokesdown (Boscombe) this afternoon - it's like an American diner with vintage tattoo memorabilia and it serves amazing burgers and ice cream sundaes so it's right up my street! We then went on to Highcliffe to walk the dog along the beach and then to Sainsbury's for supplies to have a cosy night in. I want to try my hand at making Whoopie Pies but I've heard they're really difficult to make so I've bought a Betty Crocker mix for my first go - don't judge me! After the little bake-athon I expect we'll settle down to The Voice and a movie; we also started watching a BBC drama called The Bridge today - has anyone else watched it? It seems very gripping so far! What are all your plans for the weekend?
That skirt is so cute :) The Tattoo Parlous looks and sounds AMAZING. I love the American diner style and the food that comes along with it :D
ReplyDeleteI've heard that whoopie pies are hard to make as well - good luck! x
Such a cute skirt, tempted to add it to my cart! Probably shouldn't though! Sounds like you've been having a lovely weekend :) The Voice! Totally hooked and excited to watch it tonight :) x

ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend. I'm currently trying to do loads of work do I can have tomorrow off! It'll be a late one if I keep getting distracted! I adore your skirt. It looks so cute! I'm going to Vietnam for my honeymoon and I'm just looking at booking a river cruise. I think I need to get this to wear then even though it looks more sea appropriate! x
ReplyDeleteOh I adore the Tattoo parlour and your outfit is beyond adorable! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI pottered around Brighton today contemplating whether or not to buy a wedding dress that was reduced... tomorrow may or may not be consumed with a road trip to Kent to watch Sam plan american football. In the rain. Joyous. The last time I made whoopie pies not one 'half' was the same size as another to pair with! so frustrating, they were all lopsided! good luck with yours! (cheater!! heheheheee)

ReplyDeleteYou look lovely - really like the skirt!
ReplyDeleteI've tried the betty crocker whoopie pie mix - it's good! But whoopie pies aren't actually that difficult to make, I bet with your baking skills you could do it!

I love this outfit! Your skirt is so pretty with the little simple anchors on it. That diner sounds amazing, I love finding little gems like that. My weekend has consisted of doing uni work for my deadline next week, and cowering from the rain! Thanks England. Hope you've had a lovely weekend sweet :)

ReplyDeleteThat cafe definitely looks like my kind of place... There's a lovely little American style diner at the Bullring called Ed's Diner which is probably my favourite place on earth!
